The OPEN ENROLLMENT period for the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year will begin on April 15, 2013 and will end on September 6, 2013. The application process can be started any time. All applications will be reviewed after April 15.

Student Pick Up
We want our students to be as safe as possible. If you choose to pick your child up from school please choose one of the options below for pick up:
Option #1
If you want to drop your child off or pick them up without getting out of the car, stay in the right lane as you turn off of Platt Road and pull up along the sidewalk to the drop off zone and let your child our in the morning or wait for them to come to your car at the end of the day. There is absolutely no parking along the sidewalk or beside the pick up line.
Option #2
If you want to walk your child into the building, please stay in the left lane as you turn off of Platt Road. You may park in the lot and wait for your child in the cafeteria. We will not allow students to cross traffic lanes without an adult escort.
By working together, we can be sure that all of our students are safe! Thank you for your attention to this matter. It is appreciated!

Literacy
Literacy is very important to us at Symons! Please know that we work hard to protect our literacy time. Please avoid picking up your student during the school day. Each grade level has a block of time that they are working on literacy at the same time.

Coffee Hour with Mrs. Reich
Join Symons Principal, Tammy Reich, for coffee and conversation. Please bring questions, comments and ideas. We will meet in the PD room (C46). Craft supplies and board games will be available if you choose to bring your student with you.
