Symons Curriculum

             I believe Milan Area Schools is headed in the right direction under the leadership of our superintendent Dennis McComb and our Board of Education.  Focusing on aligning the curriculum to reflect the State Benchmarks and Standards, creating assessments that evaluate students more appropriately and authentically, and supporting programs for young children will benefit the Milan community for years to come.

 

             The curriculum Symons students receive is aligned to the state curriculum.  Below are links to the Michigan Department of Education web site where specific Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE’s) are listed.  There are also Parent Guides that explain what children are taught during each year they are at Symons.
